Tuesday, July 8thPortugese man shows early unboxing of iPhone 3G
A man from Portugal has already managed to secure an 8GB iPhone 3G, photos and forum posts suggest. The poster claims to have got his hands on the device in advance of its official July 11th launch without having to pay; although refusing to say where the phone came from, one photo shows the device operating on Vodafone Portugal's network. Internet access speeds are "really good," according to the poster.
The man notes, however, that the device is currently crippled, as he cannot sync with his PC due to the absence of iTunes 7.7. The App Store is likewise non-functional, missing not only the required version of iTunes but activation on Apple's end. Both are scheduled to be launched worldwide on Friday.

Friday?
How sure Friday? Maybe Apple will post the 2.0 Thursday for iPhones and iPod touches
It's a fake!
This is FAKE!
What is the white thing in the top of the box? It does not appear anywhere on Apple's website nor is anything like it mentioned to be included with the iPhone 3G.
I tell you, this is a fraud, fake, charlatan, etc.
Prove it is real!
I want to know what that white item is and where you got the iPhone. Clever fake.
If it is fake,...
why didn't at least clean it? It looks like he ate a greasy hamburger before he handled his new phone. Yikes!! What's next, is he going to "unbox" his lunch?
It's not a 2.5G box..
Well, the box is different, the picture of the new SIM card removal tool is also new, and faking that must have taken some time - if it's fake, but I think it's for real.. and the iPhone is the right one...! Or a VERY good mockup.. naaa.. people, stop being so envy.. ;-)
yech
look at all those fingerprints ...
i think i'll keep my 1G thanks
what white thing?
I see 3 white items:
1) AC wall adapter
2) An AC plug (European)
3) Bundle of wires (headphones, usb->iPhone)
Which of these is unexpected?

Man!
Why is it that people assume others are so stupid that they can figure out how to make a reasonable fake, mock up a box, etc, then stupid enough to just throw some item into the box that would blow the whole "it's real" thing out the window.
cable
BTW, I notice the cable in there has an extra band on it. What's special about the minijack cable? Does it do pictures/video to something? Or am I just seeing a third band?
