Two Apple stores among top 100 retail landmarks
Two of Apple's retail stores have made it from being local sights to internationally must-see retail landmarks, according to a recent report of the world's top retail locations. Retail Week reveals that both the Fifth Avenue Manhattan 'Cube' location and the Regent Street London stores are praise-worthy enough to include them on its list of the top 100 must-visit retail spaces, alongside clothing stores, food retailers, sporting good stores, and other electronics retailers.
Both reviewers thought highly of Apple's overall friendliness and approachability at either location, with the Fifth Avenue location being praised as artistically representative of Apple's brand identity.

Apple? Transparent? Ha.
From the article: "This represents the transparency of the retailer itself and the design is in line with the DNA of the brand."
ROFLCOPTER!!!!!!! This guy clearly has no idea what he's talking about. Apple is about the least transparent company I know of!
They don't lie about things, though, they just say no more info. :)
well
I guess if your world is retail, or you just get moist anytime you walk into a cool looking store, but I just don't think I'll be putting any of those 100 locations on my "must visit" list. "Let's see, I only have time to visit one more place this year. Hit the pyramids in Egypt? How about the Louvre and Eiffel Tower? Nah, I'm heading to Maine to go to LL Bean!"
BTW, I've been to LL Bean in Maine (albeit years ago). Turns out, it was like going to a large sporting goods/outdoor store. It was incredible! Or, more like "Incredibly ho hum".
And if you look at the list, the first page, one of the 'must visits' is an ONLINE store!
