Briefly: Steinberg Sequel review

In brief: We have posted the second part of our review of Steinberg Sequel, the Vue 3D Environment Competition 2008 has been announced, fmDataGuard has announced its "First Anniverary Sale," and there is a newly announced DEVONthink 2.0 upgrade grace period ... We have posted the second part of our review of Steinberg Sequel. The tool allows you to record using a MIDI controller or through an external microphone, which is very similar to GarageBand. We recorded live audio from a microphone and it worked well. The intuitive design worked as we thought it would. Cutting and arranging segments of recorded material is also similar to GarageBand. You can move segments freely or snap them to a metronomic grid.

Vue 3D Environment Competition 2008 announced

e-on software, makers of Vue, software for designing natural 3D environments, in association with Softimage, Pixologic, 3D Total, Wacom, 3Dconnexion, Cornucopia3D and 3D World Magazine, have announced the third edition of the "Vue 3D Environment Competition," designed to showcase the capabilities of 3D technology for CG environments. Any version of Vue - including the free Vue 6 Personal Learning Edition (PLE) - can be used (standalone or in combination with any other 3D application) to enter the competition. Judging will be based solely on the quality, realism and artistic merit of the entries, not on the version of Vue used to create them. Entrants will compete for over $15,000 in prizes.

fmDataGuard "First Anniverary Sale"

WorldSync has announced a "First Anniverary Sale" on fmDataGuard to mark the product's first anniversary on the market. fmDataGuard provides solutions built with FileMaker Pro software with the technological basis for regulatory audit trail compliance, logs all data changes, and allows for instant data rollback or quick recovery from a crash or corruption. Now through the end of July, anyone can purchase fmDataGuard at a 20% discount directly from the company.

DEVONthink 2.0 upgrade grace period
