Diablo III for Mac, PC
Diablo III has been announced by Blizzard Entertainment at the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment Worldwide Invitational in France. Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, said that they wanted to expand the epic elements of Diablo for a long time. "We know that players for many years (have been waiting for) a return of the series, so we are very excited to share this announcement with all of you here in Paris and the whole world today." Diablo III will be launched on both Mac OS X and Windows simultaneously, with pricing and system requirements to be released closer to the launch of the game.
The RPG-action based fantasy game features a new 3D graphics engine with new visual and special effects. The environments have been improved and the game features a random level generator for unique gameplay. It will also feature online play via Battle.net.

I'm STILL playing DII LOD since it came out. Can't wait for 3! Best game I've ever played.

Well the little bit of social life I had just got shot to nothing upon hearing this news. Sigh. There goes more months straight of my life.

looks great

Movement sorta reminds me of Myth except that the view follows you rather than being arbitrary. The small gameplay movie's graphics already looked better than 1024x768 DII LOD.

For the love of God make the character appearance customizable.
I got so sick of every sorceress looking the same...

There's a VERY long gameplay video on their site... looks interesting.
Of course, the $64,000.00 question is... intel only? What I find really annoying is outfits like a**-pire, who announce new games, but never tell us if it will run on the millions of PPC machines still in service. Until right before shipping, when they tell us "intel only." They announced CoD4 a long time ago, but still won't say if it';s intel only... and there is no godly reason to withhold such information.
This being Blizzard, I'd expect to be treated much better...
