Komodo IDE 4.4 adds Unit Test Integration expansion

updated 02:50 pm EDT, Tue June 24, 2008

Komodo IDE 4.4 released

ActiveState has released the v4.4 update to Komodo IDE, a development environment built for dynamic and/or open languages. Some protocols supported by the software include Perl, PHP, Ruby, Tcl, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML. The upgraded version adds extension support for Unit Test Integration, allowing developers to choose their own testing frameworks. Already supported by the software are Nose, PyUnit, PHPUnit, a Perl TAP-based test and a Ruby rake-based test.

Also new is Zend framework support for PHP coders, and a variety of miscellaneous interface improvements. The v4.4 patch is free; the software requires Mac OS X 10.3 or better, and costs $295 in a package that encompasses all languages and platforms.
