Swing Academy opens doors to Mac Golfers

Swing Academy has brought its free online swing analysis software to the Mac. The Academy site allows users to upload video of their golf swing and get pointers from a variety of different sources. The Self-Analysis function allows users to evaluate their own swing, while Side-By Side Analysis compares a user’s swing against a library of others.

SwingAcademy says its advertising-supported online community brings golfers together to compare and analyze each other’s technique. Discussion boards offer tips, and users can chat about courses, pro golf, “golf theory” and can post classified ads for used equipment. The site contains a large library of golf shots from virtually any situation, from tee-off to sand traps. Membership is free but you must register online to participate.
