Monday, June 23rdSamsung Omnia coming to AT&T near iPhone?
Samsung's i900 Omnia is already in queue to appear at AT&T, according to a claimed leak surfacing from BGR. The touchscreen phone would be close to the reference design but add a MediaFLO tuner that allows it to receive AT&T's Mobile TV live digital broadcasts; it should also have access to the carrier's Internet streaming music and video services and would use AT&T's Navigator service with its built-in GPS reception.
The phone is otherwise the most closest parallel to the iPhone in the US and will have either 8GB or 16GB of built-in flash, 3G Internet access over HSDPA, and a 5-megapixel camera with advanced face detection; unlike earlier offerings such as Verizon's Glyde, the phone will be a full smartphone with Windows Mobile 6.1.
AT&T is allegedly planning a quick turnaround for the Omnia and will launch it sometime during the summer, putting it close to the launch of its self-evident rival.

Remember its multi-touch screen. Not just your basic touchscreen. So its nowhere near the equivalent of the iPhone.
cool phon
How does AT&T keeps on getting all the good phone and my carrier (Verizon) gets all the crappy phones???
the Samsung Glyde is no where near this Omnia both features and look and feel, it's really disappoint for verizon. Verizon needs to get its acts together soon or they will get hammered by AT&T.
I saw some great updates about this phone at http://www.Samsung-Omnia.org
