Suppliers: 10 million iPhones to ship in Q3
Some 10 million iPhones should ship in the third quarter of 2008 alone, according to component suppliers. The information comes from sources contacted by the Taiwanese industry publication Commercial Times, which adds that Apple's plans to launch the iPhone 3G in 22 countries on July 11th should prove extremely lucrative to the companies' profits. Over 70 countries are expected to have the iPhone by the end of the year, and Apple CEO Steve Jobs has promised sales of at least 10 million units within the 2008 calendar.
Also identified by the Times are the individual makers of each component. Notable corporations include Infineon, producing the main processor, and Sharp, the builder of the LCD panel. Broadcom is working on the GPS chipset, while Foxconn is handling both case construction and the overall assembly of each unit.

Sales
I think after the iPhone 2.0 software is fully unveiled interest in the iPhone will ramp up quickly. Apple is going to get a dramatic increase in corporate sales, especially to smaller and mid-size companies.
My company (about 100 mil in sales) is going to purchase 50 of the 3G's within the first few weeks of the launch because of the fantastic Exchange support, which we just switched to from Lotus.
I have talked to other IT types that have the same thing in mind. This coupled with the wide availability will be a boon for Apple, and will be a similar growth pattern to the iPod in the short-term.
iPods
I just hope this drops iPod Touch prices by another 50% or so.
