Nolobe this week debuted Iris 1.0, a new image editor for OS X. From Australian developer Nolobe, Iris has been written from the ground-up specifically for Mac OS X; it uses a minimalist 'sngle window' interface and offers layer-based editing and fully customizable paint, brush and drawing tools, as well as support for industry standard image formats such as TIFF, PNG, JPEG and PSD. Iris supports Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or later, and requires a PowerPC- or Intel-based Macintosh, It is priced at $80 (with a free demo version available online).
