Sequenc screen cap utility

App4mac has announced Sequence, a screenshot utility that uses multi-threaded code and 64-bit compression to capture DVD, audio and multi-media content. The developers says the software can be useful for developing training videos, because it can capture live video and audio from a webcam at the same time as their screen. Sequence was built for OSX Leopard and supports Core Animation, QuickLook, QTKit, Core Image and iChat Theater.

Sequence produces screenshots in a variety of formats, including bmp, pict, gif, jpg, png, tiff, pdf, and can be resized with the company’s free RapidoResizer utility. The software allows users to add doodles or symbols directly onto screenshots, supports hot keys, and saves images directly onto the clipboard or to any specified folder. Users also have the option of recording audio narration.

The Sequence beta is expected to be released June 24th. Licenses are available for $9 until the final release which is scheduled for July 4th.
