Forums Mac Pro Boot Camp

Mac Pro sleep issues have been a recent topic of conversation in the MacNN forums lately. Many users have been reporting that the system will go into sleep mode and then when they try to restart it, the computer will reboot causing a loss of any projects that they may have been working on. Some say that they have made upgrades to their systems and no longer have any problems, others list of option after option of things that they have tried to no avail. Everyone who has been affected by this problem can agree that it is very annoying.

Another topic of interest in the forums deals with installing alternative operating systems on Mac computers in the Offical Boot Camp Thread. Users discuss installation problems when trying to install Windows XP as well as provide tips for installing alternative operating systems yourself. One user asks if it would be necessary to purchase a new copy of Windows XP in order to install it or if a re-install CD provided with a Dell computer would work. Due to the fact that the restore disks are only intended for use on one system it was determined that a new copy would be needed.

Forum goers get the chance to show off their Power Macs and other Mac items in the very popular Power Mac picture thread. Users compliment one another on their setups as well as discuss hardware configurations.

With many recent changes to the Mac platform including the addition of Intel processors and new operating systems users inquire about what kind of gaming options they will have in the future in the upcoming games thread. One user states that Unreal Tournament 3 was suppose to be out months ago and also mentioned Spore as a possibility. Leonard, a long time user of the forums, provides a useful link to a site called Inside Mac Games for more information on upcoming titles.
