Nielsen: iPhone users young, choosing e-mail
iPhone owners are young, and primarily interested in e-mail, says the survey group Nielsen Mobile. Results from the first quarter of 2008 show that the majority of iPhone owners are aged 25 to 34, the next most significant group being people between 55 and 64, at 14.4 percent. Despite the phone's web-browsing abilities, e-mail appears to be the most popular function, used by some 76 percent of owners; close behind is the iPod component, used by approximately three out of four people.
37 percent of owners watch video, a figure 10 times higher than normal. 20 percent play games online -- nine times more than the average -- and 33 percent send instant messages, three times more than usual. Nielsen notes that only 68 percent of people take advantage of the phone's Wi-Fi receiver, suggesting that the remnant either do not have Wi-Fi access or simply do not use the phone at times they would be in range.
Research further indicates that while the iPhone is mainly a personal purchase, roughly one in four people use it for business while still paying their own bills. 15 percent have their iPhone covered under corporate plans -- which may potentially be important, as 36 percent of iPhone owners say their subscriptions cost over $100 per month, 16 percent more than the average cellphone user.

16 percent of... what?
"... 36 percent of iPhone owners say their subscriptions cost over $100 per month, 16 percent more than the average cellphone user."
16 percent more what? More users, or 16 percent higher bill? The word "user" at the end suggests it's the bill you're talking about.
BTW, your pop-up flash windows, that cover parts of the article I move my mouse over, are VERY annoying. They made it difficult to quote this text for this comment.
