Epson Stylus NX400 printer

Epson today introduced its new generation of all in one printers with the flagship Stylus NX400. The new printer features a 2.5-inch LCD to preview photos and documents, while a PictBridge port and memory card slot that support nearly all formats thanks to an adapter mean a computer is not required to print photos or files from cell phones or digital cameras. Automatic photo correction software allows users to edit photos before printing them.

The NX400 is capable of printing 34 ppm of black or color pages, or a 4- by 6-inch color photo in 26 seconds. Photocopying speeds are rated at 30 cpm. With the guidance of Epson's photo fix program, the 1200dpi scanner can help users restore colors in faded photos, store them in memory and reprint the new versions.

Epson's DURABrite Ultra ink helps prevent smudging and dries quickly. The four ink cartridges can be replaced individually, as needed.

The Stylus NX400 is compatible with Windows Vista, XP, XP Professional x64, and 2000, as well as Macintosh OS X 10.3.9, 10.4.x and 10.5.x operating systems via its USB 2.0 interface. Priced at nearly $100, the NX400 is currently available in stores and on Epson's web store.
