Human releases ApertureEdit plug-in collection
Human Software has released ApertureEdit, a collection of 11 plug-ins for Aperture 2.1. Among these are DeNoise, which removes sensor noise from high-ISO pictures, and AutoFocus, which tries to eliminate blur. AutoSmooth attempts automatic airbrushing, while the Grids and PhotoFixlens plug-ins let users apply or remove distortion as desired; other plug-ins apply elements like frames, textures, and over 500 different types of lighting.
A major plug-in within the collection is said to be Toolbox, which lets users combine 50 effects "blocks" such as channel mixing, black-and-white conversion, film grain and deinterlacing. The whole ApertureEdit collection costs $300, but can be bought in pieces for $70 per module.

Wow... expensive!
Out of curiosity, why would anyone pay $70 for these guys' FixLens product when you can get the original PTLens for $15? Another alternative is LensFixCI for $30.
Their add-ons cost half again as much as Aperture...

Their add-ons cost much more than Aperture... too bad!
yeah, expensive
Why is it that a lot of the plugins for Aperture are costing more than the program itself. There is another plugin that costs $249 and has less functionality than Nikon Capture NX but costs more. I was considering dropping Capture to use this plugin but it's way too expensive for what it does.
