Nisus Writer Pro 1.1 adds Comments, Mail Merge

Nisus Writer Pro 1.1 ships
Somewhat over a month after the release of the preview version, Nisus is shipping the final edition of Writer Pro 1.1, its signature word processor. Features of the app include multilingual text, non-contiguous selection, and a special fullscreen mode. Character sets include Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Chinese, Japanese and Korean; documents are saved in the RTF format, but the program can read Word, WordPerfect, Open Document and AbiWord files.
The v1.1 upgrade introduces several important features found in other processor apps, such mail merges, a Go to Page command, and the ability to add comments. A large caret option has been introduced, and the Nisus Macro Language has been improved and expanded. Writer Pro runs on Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and costs $80 whole or $45 as an upgrade from Writer Express.

why so late
I wonder why it took Nisus such a long time to get their pro word processor out the door. It has been almost 10 years since the release of OS X and now before do they have their pro version of the word processor out! Nisus Express, on the other hand has been out for a long time.
