Twixtor 4.5 for FCP
Beginning this week Vision Effects is now shipping Twixtor 4.5 for Apple Final Cut Pro (FCP) in an FxPlug version, which is Final Cut Pro's native effects plugin architecture. Twixtor enables users to speed up or slow down image sequences with quality results. In order to achieve its image quality, Twixtor synthesizes unique new frames by warping and interpolating frames of the original sequence; employing Vision Effects' Academy Award winning technology that calculates motion for each individual pixel.
Although the After Effects compatible version of Twixtor will continue to be supported by Final Cut Pro this new FxPlug version has a number of enhancements: it can process images in 10 bit YUV (and greater bit depths, when supported), the FxPlug version is significantly faster than the After Effects-compatible version, and is the better alternative when using Twixtor within FCP because it is Apple's native effects plugin format. Twixtor 4.5 (FxPlug version) is available today for use with Final Cut Pro version 6.0.3 and higher, with a price of $329.99 for the regular version and $595.00 for the professional; or as an upgrade for $265.00.
