Oxygen XML 9.2 ships

Syncro Soft has released the v9.2 update to Oxygen XML Editor, a cross-platform, WYSIWYG XML toolset, which provides a variety of services including XQuery debugging. It is available solo, or as an Eclipse IDE plug-in. The new version of the software improves DITA support, with a new DITA maps manager, and a toolchain for generating DITA output in formats including HTML, XHTML and PDF. The newest DITA Open Toolkit is integrated through normal transformation scenarios support.

Authors now have an overview of the actual document, with included and referred content being presented in the editor, and it should also be easier to navigate between references and referred content, thanks to newly-implemented links. Finally, a streamlined version of the app called Oxygen XML Author can be had separately or bundled with Editor.

Macs must be running Mac OS X 10.4 or later and Java 1.5. Licenses for Editor start at $48, while Author can only be had separately at the Professional or Enterprise levels, with prices of $179 or $220.
