Sprint Curve coming May 7

While it is not yet official, Sprint will launch the BlackBerry 8330 this Wednesday, says a discovery made by forum users. The provider's print ad featuring the Curve has been found over the weekend, and while it does not reveal an actual ship date, the text does hint the Curve would make an ideal gift for Mother's Day, on May 11. What the ad does definitely reveal, however, is that the Sprint Curve will be available not only in titanium, but red as well.

Along with the Verizon Curve, Sprint's offering is the first CDMA version of the Curve. It will feature 3G Internet access over the EVDO data network and true GPS navigation via the integrated receiver and Sprint's Navigating service. Data and photos or videos captured from the 2-megapixel camera will be stored on an external microSDHC card slot. The Sprint Curve will feature a USB connection to allow Internet access for laptops. The phone itself will be able to download music from Sprint's Music Store and stream the provider's Internet TV.

As reported earlier, Sprint will sell the Curve as a new activation or eligible upgrade for $180 with a two-year, $25 minimum data plan. A $100 mail-in rebate also applies to the price. [via Crackberry]
