Crative Vado leaked

While there has been no official word from Creative Labs itself, a product page on JR.com lists a Vado video camcorder from the company. In terms of specifications, the ultra-affordable video camera is nearly identical to the Pure Digital Technologies Flip range of video cameras. The Creative Labs VF0570-P Vado pocket camcorder will feature a 2GB storage capacity capable of holding approximately 2 hours of VGA (640x480) video, and up to 2 hours of life from its rechargeable AA batteries.

The central appeal of cameras like the Flip, apart from their low cost, is their ease of use; the Vado allows for one-touch recording and a built-in USB interface that makes transferring videos to your computer a plug and play affair. The integrated software likewise allows for quick uploading of its videos to YouTube or Photobucket.

The Vado will be offered in pink at the very least, sporting a 2x zoom lens made with strong low-light performance in mind. A 2-inch screen with an anti-glare coating trumps the Flip's 1.5-inch equivalent, and it, along with a microphone and speaker, would allow for video playback on the camera. A Creative A/V cable for connecting to a TV will be optional.

The JR site lists the Creative Labs camera at $100, though a release date is not given. [via Wired]
