RepTools 2008 adds document management

318 has released RepTools 2008, the latest version of its signature software. The program is a CRM (customer relationship management) tool geared towards the entertainment industry, and as such focuses on the production process, tracking aspects such as bids and talent. The major addition for 2008 is a document management system, which organizes not only bids but elements such as callsheets, storyboards, location photos and treatments.

The suite's interface is said to have been enhanced as whole, with changes such as improved network speeds. A QuickFind option lets users search for bids, contracts or projects, and filters display only the information that is immediately relevant in a current view. RepTools requires Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later; pricing is not available to the public, but a free 30-day trial is available.
