ScreenFlow 1.1 adds waveforms, chapter markers, more
Vara Software today unveiled ScreenFlow 1.1, a sizable update to its screencasting application, adding audio waveforms, markers, and several other optimizations and improvements. The inclusion of audio waveforms allows users to find and remove unnecessary pauses, coughs, and other audio anomalies in recordings, as well as in any imported QuickTime Media. The update is free for existing users, and costs $100 for a new license.
Chapter markers allow users to label sections of the recording for quick navigation, and can also be exported as QuickTime Chapter Tracks for finished projects. Vara has increased preset Export speed by 20- to 40-percent, including the new iPod, iPhone, and Apple TV presets, or Lossless.
The new version also allows for universal, system-wide registration, giving any user account on the computer access to the application.

Works great for me!
I've been using Screenflow for about 6 weeks. Basically, for what I'm using it for it works very well. After creating 40 minutes of Photoshop tutorials for my web site and YouTube.com Channel (www.campphotoshop.com and www.YouTube.com/campphotoshop) I happy with the results. I'm still experimenting with the capabilities of the program and the resulting exports. I have a few feature requests and will pass those on to the developer. Look at the videos I've created and please comment on the results.
