ASUS Essentio CS5110

Asus on Tuesday announced its newest compact PC, the CS5110, touting its exceptional video processing performance. The CS5110 is capable of 1080p HD movie playback via its optional Blu-ray disc drive and single HDMI output, while complementing it with 7.1-channel surround sound support. The focus on providing a transparent media experience is also evident in the use of a claimed industry first 2-in-1 thermal module responsible for the CS5110's quiet 24dB idle. The built-in IR transmitter and included Vista MCE remote provide the flexibility of a home-theater system.

ASUS' integrated Splendid video processing technology allows users to optimize the colors, brightness and contrast levels. With constant assessments of the images, the software makes adjustments to create an image that's clearly defined to the human eye, lightening dark scenes and sharpening rainy shots.

In terms of wireless communication, ASUS equipped the CS5110 with fast 802.11n Wi-Fi, while Bluetooth support enables close-quarter headphone, consumer electronic and laptop interfacing.

Hard drive capacities range from 250GB up to 1TB, while RAM can be ordered up to 4GB. An Intel Core 2 Dual is the CPU, while the integrated graphics card is the MXM MN8600M GT 256M.

No prices or availability dates have been announced.
