Mariner MacGourmet Deluxe
Mariner Software has announced a deal with Advenio Software, under which it will republish the latter's MacGourmet software under its own name. The software is used to manage both recipe and wine information, and is said to operate like iTunes, with the ability to create custom lists such as a collection of all appetizers. Recipes can be both imported and exported, and sent in directions such as the web, index cards or smartphones.
The first Mariner version of MacGourmet will be MacGourmet Deluxe, expected in June of this year. The Deluxe version will add a weekly meal planner, as well as a new shopping list editor, with pantry and favorite options. The software will also be integrated with iCal, and produce nutritional analysis. It will require Mac OS X 10.4 and is expected to sell for $45.

Headline is misleading...
Mike from Advenio here. Mariner isn't "absorbing" Advenio, or MacGourmet like the headline states. We're partnering for retail and other things. MacGourmet ownership or development doesn't change. Just wanted to clear that up.
