Discribe 6.0 now Universal
Charismac Engineering has announced Discribe v6.0, a new version of the Mac OS X disc (including Blu-Ray) burning software has been completely rewritten from the ground up in Universal Binary Code. The new release has a new user interface that is more intuitive and easier to navigate. It also includes an extensive list of requested features from previous versions. Meanwhile, Primera Technology, a manufacturer of CD, DVD, and Blu-ray Disc duplication and printing equipment, announced an agreement with Charismac to include Discribev6.0 software in all Bravo-Series and XR-Series Disc Publishers.
For Primera units purchased before September 1, 2007, a limited-time upgrade price of just $149 is available for single drive units (Bravo SE, Bravo II and Bravo XR) and $225 for dual-drive units (BravoPro and Bravo XRP). Primera units purchased after September 1, 2007 qualify for a free upgrade.

The user interface is remarkable. Nice to see, more intuitive. But, for mac users the software is 1 step back. When we had the support of making Hybrid CD's in version 5.3. It's not an option anymore in version 6. You can't do it. Making session CD's is a problem.((combination of audio and data) The mac can't read these CD's anymore. And what I like the most in a future release is the option of CD text info. And yes, I paid 225 dollar for it, to know that I better can take back the old version 5.3. with more options than the new version, only the interface is c***. That's my opinion. I'm using Discribe in combination with the Bravo XRP robotics. Maybe it's another story on other hardware? ?
