The Boa Slimcases are available in portrait and landscape formats. The two models and three sizes per model are designed for the professional who wants to carry only the basic necessities of computing. This $115 bag fits 13 to 15" laptops, while the other more expensive models fit the 17" MacBook Pro portables.
Take Control of iWeb '08 ships
"Take Control of iWeb: iLife '08 Edition," is a new 133-page book by iWeb expert Steve Sande that provides step-by-step instructions and plenty of time-saving tips for building a Web site and publishing it on either .Mac or another Web host. The book explains the best ways to make all types of iWeb pages, including blog, podcast, photo, and movie pages, and readers will learn how to add special elements to a site, such as iPhoto albums and galleries, YouTube videos, Google AdSense ads, Google maps, and forms that feed into Google Docs. The book is now available for $10 (PDF-based ebook version) or $21 (professionally printed paper version).
REM music video available now through iTunes
Macworld UK reports that iTunes is now offering a free music video from the band. The track, Living Well Is The Best Revenge, is the first track on REM's latest album, Accelerate, and the video is available free from iTunes. "REM will play an intimate live gig at Apple's Regent Street store next week, and is offering another sweet bonus to iTunes users. With attendance at next week's show limited to just 450 people, there's inevitably going to be many disappointed fans of the band."
"Easter mEgg Hunt" hunt for Mac software participants announced
Houdah Software has announced the participants in its "Easter mEgg Hunt", a seasonal discount for Mac users. Select Mac indie developers have joined the program, wherein articipating sites will show a banner: Spot the Eggs, get Mac Software, 20% off. This takes visitors to the "Easter mEgg Hunt" homepage. From there they start the hunt for eggs on other participating sites. Eggs are small images which link back to the "Easter mEgg Hunt" site where their contents is revealed. Each egg contains a coupon code valid for a 20% discount at 3 participating stores. Among the participants are The participating sites are Apokalypse Software Corp, Black Cat Systems Boinx Software, and more.
