Mac ownership up at University of Virginia
Apple ownership is up among students at the University of Virginia, with 25-percent of freshmen owning a Mac, up from 20-percent in the year prior, according to a computer ownership study performed last fall. These figures show a steep acceptance curve, as ownership was around 4-percent only five years ago, according to The Chronicle. The research indicates that, out of all students polled, 99-percent said they own a laptop, and 0.1-percent admit to not owning a computer at all.
These figures contrast to only 7-percent of students owning a Wii or other video game system, which the University says is due to students being too busy with Facebook or other programs.

Although it does bring down the entire Mac-user population's average IQ by quite a bit.
BTW, I found this hillarious: ...which the University says is due to students being too busy with Facebook or other programs.
They actually needed someone from the university to explain why so few people have a Wii?
Hmmmmmm, maybe its the microsoft stock you own? :-) Gates and Ballmer strike me as being more stuck up than your regular Apple owners. ?????
Just curious.
en (ps, I use both. IT takes care -sort of - the PC and I take care of the Macs. Guess which one works harder? LOL )
Just a thought.
