New iPod touch TV ad

Although not yet available on Apple's website, Apple on Wednesday night released a new iPod touch commercial, touting its recently updated WiFi mobile device. Premiering on American Idol during US primetime, the ad features nearly a dozen iPod touch devices laying on a wooden tabletop, with one user showcasing various Touch features (internet, mail, maps, and video playback) using Apple's patented gestures to the lyrics "I don't want know what I want I'm looking for, but I know I want to look some more." The commercial ends showing several hands grabbing each iPod touch and a blank table showing with the "Everybody touch" caption.

"devices LAYING on a wooden tabletop"? What were they laying ... eggs? The correct expression is, of course, "devices LYING on a wooden tabletop" ...

more lie/lay

To further differentiate, the correct grammar would be "President Bush lying in the White House, and President Clinton laying in the White House."

it wasn't President Clinton that was doing the "laying".

And President George Bush never lied. Or was that George Washington?

It is odd that people will complain about commercials interrupting their show yet will go out and watch an apple commercial.

Get the Lyrics straight!

02/28, 11:09am reply

The lyrics aren't "I don't want know what I want I'm looking for, but I know I want to look some more." If you listen, the lyrics are "I don't know what I'm looking for, but I know that I just want to look some more." Let's get it straight. LOL. Could we please at least proof the articles.

No_ MacNN has no sense of quality check_ I guess anybody can pay a few bucks for hosting and slap a website onto the internet - add in a few paid ads and call themselves a viable news source_

the commercial is on the Apple Site - all you have to do is goto the iPod Touch page and it's there_

It was there earlier than this posting too_ You might want to add in an [update] function to your news posting - so when the status of these things change - you can change too!

And why exactly do people spend so much time criticizing MacNN's editorial capabilities, yet keep coming back for more. Just because it is a mac site, doesn't mean you have to show it the same fanaticism and devotion you choose to show Apple.

fanaticism?

And yet testudo keeps coming back here harping and whining about nearly everything. Who exactly is the fanatic here?
