Dream Chronicles 2 ships
PlayFirst has launched Dream Chronicles 2: The Eternal Maze, the second game in the Dream Chronicles series that incorporates components from hidden object, adventure, and mystery genres. Developed by KatGames, Dream Chronicles 2 continues the story of Faye's adventure between the mortal and fairy world in search of her husband and daughter. With help from Faye's mother-in-law Aeval, players must solve puzzles to unravel the mystery and restore Faye's family. Dream Chronicles 2: The Eternal Maze is priced at $20 and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
"The original Dream Chronicles was the culmination of dreams. Today we have a masterpiece and a hit series on our hands," said Kenny Shea Dinkin, vice president and creative director of PlayFirst. "With its attention to detail in storyline and gameplay, KatGames has built upon its initial work to deliver an expanded sequel -- with longer gameplay, more puzzles and more depth -- that will keep players even more firmly immersed than the spellbinding original."
The new title features extended gameplay with 50 backgrounds, 25 chapters, and a new mini-game. Enhanced graphics provide animated backgrounds in an Art Nouveau style, while multi-scene puzzles challenge players by integrating items on the screen in view with inventory items that may be necessary to solve puzzles in multiple portions of the game.
Dream Chronicles 2: The Eternal Maze also offers replayability, randomizing solutions to puzzles as well as the locations of items after the first round of gameplay.
