GeForce 9 Roadmap Leaked

Although NVIDIA has only introduced one of its next-generation video cards this month in the form of the GeForce 9600 GT, virtually the entire lineup is likely to be replaced by the start of the summer, says a reported roadmap leak. Video card manufacturers claim to corroborate rumors that NVIDIA's top-end card, the dual-chip GeForce 9800 GX2, will ship on March 11th; by the end of that same month or in early April, however, the company should also release the GeForce 9800 GTX and 9800 GT, which will come with single chips but are expected to run at higher individual clock speeds.

Most of NVIDIA's approach to the mid-range will allegedly fill out over the mid-to-late spring. The GeForce 9600 GS should appear in May and will likely represent a downclocked version of the 9600 GT. A 9500 GT will be ready in June and will reduce costs by dropping from a 256-bit memory path to 128 bits. A lower-clocked version of this low-cost card, the 9500 GS, will round out the line in July.

The relative performance and pricing of the cards does not accompany the leak, although most if not all are expected to provide a major performance increase over earlier 8-series cards. Mobile details are also unavailable, though NVIDIA itself has unintentionally revealed both the Geforce 9300M and 9500M and is anticipated to add to the notebook series during a similar timeframe.

    Is this a Mac card?

Not a single mention of any Mac compatibility in the article, so why are we talking about it here? How is it relevant to the focus of this website? (this is cross-posted on electronista.com as well as currently being the 1st article on macnn.com.... don't cross-post if it is not relevant to your audience, people!
