MediaRich CORE 3.8.5 updates biz suite

updated 03:55 pm EST, Thu February 21, 2008

MediaRich CORE 3.8.5

Equilibrium today released MediaRich CORE 3.8.5, an update to its entire MediaRich suite of applications. The latest release -- which upgrades MediaRich Server, MediaRich for SharePoint, MediaRich Merchandizer, and MediaRich Audio/Video Server -- allow users to process videos in parallel. A new 'Sonic Flash Zoom and Pan' feature accompanies video templating with an optional extension package, and the latest releases offer compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Current server customers can upgrade for free (pricing for new licenses was unavailable).

Equilibrium MediaRich automates image, sound, and video productions while enabling the multi-channel delivery of any media assets.

"MediaRich is a robust, fault tolerant, massively scalable, high volume media distribution and repurposing engine," Equilibrium said. "It enables today's companies to leverage dynamic editing and delivery for the real-time creation of graphics, audio and video files on-demand to any device."

MediaRich is designed to seamlessly integrate with any Digital Asset Management (DAM) or Content Management System (CMS), allowing any organization to collaborate as well as manage all of its digital assets. MediaRich scales to meet specific business digital asset needs regardless of the number of users or the original document, image, or video file size or type.

The software aims to intelligently ingest asset metadata and adds previews to all assets, regardless of the original file format/size. Users can edit Microsoft Office, image, or video assets and deploy them either as single items or in batches.
