Apple store in Munich
Apple is looking to open its first German retail store, which will be located in Munich, a city that is known for its expensive, high-end shopping. This will join over 200 stores that Apple currently has open in the US, Canada, the UK, Italy and Japan, after the company said in its financial report that it would open additional international stores throughout 2008. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, German retail analysts say that other suitable locations for a store would include Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, and Frankfurt.
This news follows earlier reports of Apple furthering construction for its Saint-Catherine West store in Montreal, and the Pacific Centre location in Vancouver.
Apple has also recently unveiled precise details concerning the Beijing Apple store, which is set to open on the south side of Tiananmen Square. The location, made famous by the 1989 protests, is currently undergoing $40 million in renovations in preparation of the 2008 Olympics.

Funny you should mention that, tofino... seeing that I am planning to move from Munich (Bavaria) to Vancouver in the near future. That is, if you Canadians actually let me in.
