Moto Z12 Teaser

Motorola is set to launch a new media phone at next week's Mobile World Congress, the company has hinted through a teaser video (posted below). Showing users trying to carry TVs and other devices as substitutes for the mystery phone, the teaser says only that "it doesn't have to be this hard" and hints that its future device will combine all of the features implied by the teaser, which includes mobile video viewing and Internet access.

The most likely candidate for the release is the ZINE Z12, a new high-end counterpart to the Z10 announced just this month. A previous leak alluded to the phone coming with an uprated 5-megapixel Kodak-derived camera, which is now likely to use the new CMOS camera sensor unveiled today by the camera maker. It would also have xenon flash and should provide both 3G (likely over HSDPA) and has previously been tapped as supporting GPS and Wi-Fi.

If following the history of the Z8 and Z10, the Z12 would remain limited primarily to European sales, though predecessors have often supported GSM phone calls within North America as well as most other regions in the world.
