In brief: Parallels partners with Equinix for virtualization VPN, a new Logica family of icons has been released, Ken Scott grooves have debuted, the ToneCore DSP Developer Kit ships, and new Webinars describe how to build a FileMaker Website for the iPhone and a shopping cart ... equinux and Parallels have partnered to allow business professionals with Parallels Desktop for Mac to securely connect to their remote networks using VPN Tracker 5, equinux's market-leading IPsec based VPN client for Mac OS X. Users can now take full advantages of using their Parallels Desktop virtual machine and the high security standards that come with using VPN Tracker 5. "It's no longer an issue for business users to go from Windows to Mac OS X," says equinux CEO, Till Schadde. "Basically, every Windows application that can be used with Parallels Desktop for Mac can access a highly encrypted VPN Tunnel under Mac OS X provided by VPN Tracker 5."

New Logica family of icons released

Stockicons.com has released the latest collections in the Logica family of
royalty-free stock icons. The addition of the Logica Database, Multimedia
and Finance EPS sets adds scalable vector icons covering such concepts such as tables, records, mixing, effects, assets and many others. All three of these scalable EPS sets can be used in large format, print and web applications. Logica Database, Multimedia and Finance EPS are available today for $129 each.

Ken Scott grooves released

Sonic Reality has announced the "Ken Scott Collection" as part of its Studio ProFiles line of multitrack drum kits and grooves. Ken Scott who has engineered for The Beatles and Pink Floyd and produced classic albums from Supertramp, David Bowie and Elton John is revisiting the late 60’s and 70’s with Sonic Reality;s Dave Kerzner to reproduce classic drum sounds he’s recorded over the years to be made into playable drum kits and loops for musicians to use in their music today. It features multitrack drum hits and grooves of Bob Siebenberg (Supertramp), Woody Woodmansey (David Bowie – Spiders from Mars), Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs) and Billy Cobham (Mahavishnu Orchestra) all recorded with the original vintage equipment to both analog 2 inch tape and high resolution digital.

ToneCore DSP Developer Kit ships

Line 6, a company that makes digital modeling technology for guitarists, has announced the ToneCore DSP Developer Kit, a programmable stomp box effects development platform. The tool allows users to write, develop, test, and manufacture digital effects hardware without needing any hardware expertise or developing or tooling any electronics or enclosures. This is made possible by the combination of Line 6's ToneCore modular effects platform and Freescale Semiconductor's software development tools.

How to build a FileMaker Website for the iPhone, shopping cart
