Kill Monty 1.1 on Friday

Freeverse has announced that an update for its top-down action game, Kill Monty, will be made available later this Friday. Based loosely on the movie Kill Bill and more directly on games such as Robotron and Smash TV, Kill Monty throws players into the middle of an arena, where they are attacked from all sides by enemies ranging from sinister agents to zombie monkeys and playing cards. To fight back, users are given weapons such as machineguns, lasers and grenades.

Version 1.1 of the game is now a Universal Binary, ensuring better speeds on Intel Macs. Also included is a new "Assault" mode, where players must kill as quickly as possible in order to prevent the clock from running out. An online high scores table has been introduced, as have a number of weapons tweaks, mainly increased damage on the railgun, flamethrower and grenade. The full version of the game is $20, but people can download a demo version beforehand.
