Phlink 4, Geophoto 2

Ovolab today released Phlink 4, adding a revamped user interface alongside call screening and talking caller ID. The telephony software for Mac greets callers with personalized greetings, plays custom ringtones, and sends voice messages via email. The update provides even tighter integration with Mac OS X, according to Ovolab, answering phone calls and identifying callers using Caller ID as well as the Mac OS X Address Book. Phlink 4 is priced at $150, and upgrades for Phlink 3 users are available for $40.

The latest release of Phlink enables users to see iChat buddy status for contacts directly from the call log, and supports viewing call notifications over the network without the need for the Phlink application to be running.

Phlink features multiple voice mailboxes, call recording, phone trees, fax detection, and support for Dashboard as well as Spotlight.

Geophoto 2

Ovolab today also announced Geophoto 2 with support for GPS devices. Geophoto is an all-in-one application for easily organizing and browsing photos by location through a three-dimensional representation of the earth. Users can pan, zoom, and fly through photos via high-resolution satellite images of the Earth.

Geophoto 2 eases the process of positioning photos in the correct location by allowing users to import track data from GPS devices. Users simply drag pictures to a specific location on the globe to pin them to a specific location. Pinned photos can be shared with other users and will automatically appear in the correct location on the Earth when opened in Geophoto.

Geophoto 2 will ship in the second half of February for $20, and will come as a free upgrade to users who purchased Geophoto since January 1st, 2008.
