Apple booth preview

Apple's booth at Macworld Expo in San Francisco's Moscone Center is already shrouded in black cloth, masking the entire area where the company will showcase new products and services introduced by CEO Steve Jobs tomorrow morning. Photos taken by setteB.IT depict the company's shrouded area beneath stage lighting, and include a security guard seated in a chair to ensure Apple's well-known secrecy. Banners hung atop the Expo entrance tout the catchphrase: "2008, There's something in the air." Photos of the event center and Apple's booth follow.

Industry analysts expect Apple to unveil a new ultra-portable subnotebook during this year's keynote address, based on rumors backed by patent filings that point to a smaller, lighter MacBook with the latest technology to reduce power consumption as well as thickness.

    floating

Interesting that the entry signage seems to center on the floating leaf of the Apple logo.

    What?

Are people really interested in this kind of stuff? I'm somewhat excited about the keynote tomorrow, as Apple may introduce some products that coukd make my life easier, but seriously - taking multiple pictures of black-draped booths and signage just seems a little fawning to me. What's the point?

    hits, dogzilla

Page hits. We can't get enough. We're like the geek equivalent to people who love Britney Spears news, good, bad or ridiculous.

    I saw something

I know it's all geek fun but I can wait until tomorrow. After what AAPL did to Think Secret I really don't care for their whole secrecy bit. No info=rumour and buzz. Leaked info=free publicity.

    Logo Usage

I think the logo usage is genius. I gotta hand it to the Apple advertising group, pure genius.

    Re: logo usage

Wow, they use the logo! Exactly what about it is 'genius', let alone 'pure genius'?

BTW, I think it's the marketing and exhibition people who are supposed to get the credit, not the advertising folks. They're the ones driving the Mac/PC and Silhouette ads into the ground.

Hmm... Where I come from, you only drape a black shroud over something for one reason...

    RIP Mac.

For once, it's Apple Rising, not AAPL rising...or it it going to be both?
