SOHO Labels 3.5 released
Chronos today released SOHO Labels 3.5, an update to its label printing software that features circular text boxes and zip code sorting. The latest release allows users to place circular text on designs, and dedicated inspector tools are available for customizing whether text is drawn inside or outside of the circle Contacts are sortable by zip code, and the zip code is shown in the contacts list when the option is chosen. SOHO Labels 3.5 is a free update for registered SOHO Labels 3.x users, and is priced at $40 for new users.
SOHO Labels is designed as a complete kit with everything required to design and print labels, envelopes, and letterheads. The software comes with more than 13,000 designer-quality photographs, according to Chronos, and includes photos of objects as well as vector clip art images. As many as 50 Bitstream fonts accompany a collection of matching label, envelope, and letterhead sets.
The application is compatible with more than 1,500 popular label, DVD/CD label, and envelope stocks including those from Avery, PaperDirect, DYMO, APLI, Formtec, and more.
SOHO Labels 3.5 clips content to the printable area when printing disc labels, fixes a problem during a search that printed the first contact rather than the selected contact, and repairs an issue with unlocked text in Preview mode that caused the font to change when editing. The update also fixes a bug with applying drop shadows to images cropped by text, and properly handles double-clicking grouped objects in the Favorites bin. Window 'jittering' issues are fixed when switching between Design and Preview modes, and some drawing glitches related to image effects at small sizes are no longer present.
