NiXPS View, Edit, Library

NiXPS has quietly released new versions of its key software, which is geared toward supporting Microsoft's XPS document format. View 2.0 allows users to browse XPS files, flipping through pages at will using either a table of contents or the thumbnail view. A Quick Search function highlights all results on a page when searching for keywords or phrases. Edit 2.0 lets users both edit and view XPS files, and offers functions such as merging and extraction, conversion to the PDF format, and the creation of personalized mail and other documents from previous XPS files.

The second version of Edit includes new inspectors: the object inspector tracks the position and color of objects, while the text inspector lets users intervene to correct possible errors. View and Edit 2.0 are Universal Binaries for Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, and cost $100 and $400 respectively. NiXPS has also released v1.5 of Library, a C++ resource for developers aiming to build their own apps with XPS support. Licenses start at $300.
