We've posted a review of the Keyspan U2S-2A USB 2.0 Server, which you can connect it via Ethernet or wirelessly to a local area network, to share different types of USB devices. The Keyspan USB Server plugs into an available 10 or 100 megabit connection on your network and provides two powered USB 2.0 ports that talk to different devices, including printers, USB storage devices, PDAs, cameras, mice, keyboards, or scanners. If you want just a print server, Keyspan also sells a 4-Port USB Print Server for only $99.
MyPublisher announces imported leather covers
MyPublisher, the industry leader in custom photo book software, manufacturing and fulfillment, today announced the launch its new, Imported Leather PhotoBook Covers. These new covers are padded and stitched 100% leather covers in the photobook category. They are available in both the Classic photobook size and, for the first time, in MyPublisher's Deluxe books as well. The new covers come in Black and British Tan. Both colors have delicate contrast stitching and subtle padding.
VectorWorks 2008 gets Leopard features
Nemetschek North America has moved to allow its VectorWorks 2008 product line to take advantage of many of Leopard's most innovative features, including Cover Flow. This SP 2 release enhances and brings fixes to the entire product line, including RenderWorks. Service Pack 2 integrates VectorWorks 2008 with Cover Flow and Quick Look technologies in Apple's Leopard OS. This creates an image preview of the file and a thumbnail icon preview, which allows users to see the contents of their VectorWorks 2008 files without opening them. There is now additional content in the form of Munsell colors and new plant libraries.
MacPractice EDR (Electronic Dental Records) Released
MacPractice, a developer of practice management software and clinical applications designed especially for Mac OS X, announced the release of the MacPractice EDR (Electronic Dental Records). MacPractice EDR is designed to make it easy for dentists who use MacPractice DDS with MacPractice EDR to customize the forms provided by MacPractice and create new ones. Dentists can create and interact with clinical data including health history and clinical notes with graphic annotations on teeth as they are accustomed to doing in paper. To take tooth charting in MacPractice DDS to the next level, MacPractice plans to make EDR interactive with the ledger in MacPractice DDS.
Mac IT Pro boot camp announced
Future Media Concepts, an Apple authorized training center, has announced MITPRO - the Mac IT Pro Bootcamp, a week long training conference for Mac IT professionals. The Bootcamp will take place in Miami Beach, Florida 2/24 – 2/29, 2008.
