MP EMR for eye doctors
MacPractice has released MacPractice EMR for eye doctors, an easy-to-use application that creates more efficient electronic versions of the forms used by ophthalmologist and optometrists. MacPractice EMR is designed to make it easy for eye doctors who use MacPractice 20/20 with MacPractice EMR to customize the forms provided by MacPractice, as well as create new forms. MacPractice EMR for eye doctors is priced at $2,500 plus $500 annually for support and updates until December 31st, after which the cost will rise (system requirements were unavailable).
MacPractice 20/20 is a specialized version of MacPractice MD with the added abilities to create eyeglass as well as lens prescriptions and retain frame information.
"Many eye doctors are interested in Mac software and have asked for EMR specialized for them," said Mark Hollis, president of MacPractice. "We look forward to continuously developing and enhancing MacPractice EMR for eye doctors."
MacPractice is encouraging Ophtalmologists and optometrists to register at MacPractice.com to view QuickTime demonstration movies of MacPractice 20/20 as well as MacPractice EMR with ophthalmology and optometry.
