Cake Mania for Mac hits store shelves
MacSoft has unveiled a retail version of Cake Mania for Mac, a title developed by Sandlot Games that places players into the shoes of Jill -- a young woman who returns from culinary school to find her beloved grandparents' bakery closed down by the evil new neighborhood Mega-Mart. Players earn money by baking and upgrading Jill's kitchen with state-of-the-art tools while serving her increasingly difficult customers to ultimately earn enough funds to re-open her grandparents' shop. Cake Mania is priced at $20, according to MacSoft, and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
Cake Mania challenges gamers with 84 levels of progressively challenging action, requiring the handling of all aspects of the bakery business -- from handing out menus and collecting cash to baking, frosting, and decorating cakes.
"As her customer base grows, so does the frantic pace of the bakery until Jill is a cake-making maniac!"
