Virtual Programming has released Europa Universalis 3: Napoleon's Ambition as a digital download. The game challenges players to delve into the areas of exploration, trade, warfare, and diplomacy while exploring historical content. The Napoleon's Ambition expansion takes Europa Universalis III players into the French Revolution and the Napoleonic era, spanning up to the year 1820. Europa Universalis III: Napoleon's Ambition is priced at $20, and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

The expansion includes new leaders, rulers, advisor wars, countries, and national ideas alongside dozens of new units to offer more tactical choices. Selecting historical options ensures players will see their rulers, leaders, and advisers appear on the accurate historical dates.



"A new added map mode for trade displaying all goods will be produced in each respective province, including its value," Virtual Programming says. "This means more pages for the ledger including information about colonies and leaders, and several improvements to the interface."





Gameplay options are expanded to offer more strategies, enabling players to emulate Peter 'the Great' to create an all-new nation capital. The game also supports influencing trade, allowing players to add or remove centers of trade to bring more wealth to nations, or to focus trade on selected valuable trading centers, respectively.
