mStation unveils iPhone battery pack
mStation today unveiled an iPhone battery pack extender device that comes pre-charged and ready for use. The device, called mophie juice pack, houses a rechargeable lithium polymer battery with an ergonomic comfort-grip case as well as a soft non-slip finish. The mophie juice pack is due to ship in mid-December for $100, while an iPod-touch version will surface in January of next year.
The additional battery power provides up to 250 additional hours of standby time, eight house of talk time, six hours of internet use, seven hours of video playback, and 24 extra hours of audio playback time.
Four integrated LED charge status indicators accompany a 30-pin dock connector for simple recharging via most iPhone accessories -- including the cable that ships with the device.
