SuperSync 2.0 released

SuperSync has released SuperSync 2.0, an update to its music library synchronization software that offers faster simultaneous track uploads/downloads as well as easier external WAN access setup. The software supports up to five simultaneous track uploads and downloads, and introduces a completely redesigned file transfer window for synchronization progress that display the list of songs to be copied as well as general status for skips and other info. SuperSync 2.0 is priced at $30 for a 2-machine license, while family licenses are available for $40 per 5-pack and $60 per 10-pack. The software requires Mac OS X (specific requirements were unavailable).

SuperSync 2.0 includes support for automatic Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) router setup, easing access to SuperSync over a WAN (Wide Area Network) or the internet. WAN access status is also easily checked under the Help menu, according to the company, and the udpate adds support for Unicode as well as long file names.

The update offers improved iTunes integration, ensuring synchronized files are also reflected in iTunes with song ratings and "played counts" copied between iTunes libraries.

SuperSync Works Great

SuperSync has allowed me to access all my iTunes collection anywhere. I have a lot of music on my home computer and sometimes I want to be able to listen to all of it, but can't because my iPod doesn't have enough memory. SuperSync allows me to sync my music on my home Mac and my work PC almost seamlessly. That's what works best for me -- the cross platform compatibility. It's very easy to install and set-up. I was up and running in 10 minutes. The interface is robust, but very intuitive.
