Interiors Pro ships

Microspot today released Interiors Professional, an application that provides interior space and modeling space with a shared library. Interiors Pro includes a raytrace renderer as well as built-in modeling tools to create realistic designs and animations. Microspot's Interiors Professional is priced at $250, while upgrades for registered users of Interiors and Interiors/Modeler are priced at $115 and $55, respectively. The software requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

Four different renderers include interactive for speed when laying out designs, preview for lighting as well as shadows, the Microspot renderer with variable resolution, and the new raytrace renderer to add reflections.

The professional edition includes 14 modeling tools and four extra palettes. The modeling tools consist of six primitive shapes: cube, sphere, cone, pyramid, cylinder, and regular polygon alongside four more compex tools for pipes, torroids, lathed shapes, and irregular polygons.

Microspot's new software offers a 3D text tool, as well as an edit path tool for modeling coils and threads. Extra palettes accommodate adjusting the section of lathed objects and polygons, as well as controlling Boolean operations.

Both Interiors and Interiors professional support importing Google SketchUp files as well as 3DS import. Built-in functionality also allows users to model and edit library items, according to the company.
