Omni Group unveils OmniFocus tasking app
The Omni Group today announced a public beta of its new task management tool, OmniFocus. The software is designed to quickly capture thoughts and ideas, allowing users to store, manage, and process them into active to-do items. Tasks can be assigned to projects with built-in visual cues that accentuate the next required action. OmniFocus also features a number of efficient tools, such as a quick entry panel, import options for kGTD documents, iCal syncing, project and task filtering, file attachments, saved viewing perspective, and much more. The Omni Group is offering a special pricing strata for pre-orders at $40, with the OmniFocus' final pricing at $80 when it ships on January 8th.

If you really trust it and dump everything into it, it won't let you forget what has to be done. It's so impressive I organised my entire wedding and honeymoon using it (1 wedding project and 31 wedding sub-projects with hundreds of actions). Everything came together on time and the day was a huge success.
Btw, they've also posted an updated intro video too, narrated by Ethan Schoonover. Take a look at the "Resources" side bar on the right of the OmniFocus page. It's a bit hefty at 180MB, but worth it. Ethan truly believes in OmniFocus and GTD; and his enthusiasm is infectious.
These guys were really up for an iPhone port when it first came out. Will be interesting to see what they do with it when the iPhone SDK comes out early next year.
