Toon Boom Animation today announced that its Storyboard Pro, Digital Pro, and consumer version of Storyboard software all work with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. The Toon Boom team says it is also currently working on making the Harmony network solution as well the consumer software Studio compatible with Leopard in the near future. Toon Boom Storyboard Pro is priced at $900, while the company's Toon Boom Digital Pro and Storyboard applications are available for $3,000 and $400, respectively. Toon Boom Studio requires Mac OS X 10.4.7 or later, while both Toon Boom Storyboard and Toon Boom Digital Pro require Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
Toon Boom Storyboard is designed for creators who need to map out story boards and associated elements for video games, cartoons, films and other presentations. The tool features support for industry standard bitmap as well as vector files, a searchable captions field, and the ability to reuse assets from a built-in image template library.
Toon Boom Digital Pro offers advanced content creation, animation and compositing capabilities. Also built-in are kick-start programs as well as extensive training material alongside an Asset Library to store animated cycles, sounds, effects, characters, backgrounds, props, and templates for reuse.
