Punch Software shows new titles, offers beta

Punch's Shark, Shark FX
CAD software developer Punch Software announced two new products, Shark and Shark FX, based heavily on the core technologies of Concepts Unlimited v4. Believed to be the next version of Concepts Unlimited, the central technologies of the software will be improved, introducing additional modeling tools, multiple viewports, and full parametric dimensions and constraints. Pricing and availability has yet to be mentioned.
The most anticipated feature of Shark and Shark FX is said to be a new parametric constraint system, licensed from component software developer D-Cubed. The system is designed to give provide intelligent relationships between geometric shapes and dimensional space.
Also being introduced are .OBJ export features, OpenGL texture rendering capabilities, spline arms, an updated modeling kernel (ACIS R17), updated Pro/E and CATIA translators, and Autocad 2008 DWG support.
Punch is also offering a beta to customers, inviting them to test the upcoming versions of ViaCAD Pro, Shark, and Shark FX.
