Mac developers and hardware manufacturers are working hard to offer compatibility for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard following the operating system's shipment last Friday. Servoy announced that its entire array of products -- including Servoy Developer, Servoy Server, Servoy Smart Client, Servoy Web Client, Servoy Runtime Edition, Servoy Offline Edition, and Servoy MultiDeveloper Server -- offer full compatibility with Leopard. Equinux today released a Stationary Pack with more than 100 templates to personalize emails using the stationary feature of Mail in Mac OS X Leopard, and the developers of OsiriX 3.0 medical imaging software have released a 64-bit preview version of OsiriX Viewer that runs exclusively on Leopard with built-in iChat Theater as well as CoverFlow for DICOM files.

Other World Computing today announced that its "Mercury Extreme" G4 Processor Upgrades are fully compatible with Mac OS X Leopard, enabling owners of older Macs that are not officially supported by Apple to make use of the company's new operating system.

CS Odessa today announced an update to its ConceptDraw Business Suite for Mac OS X Leopard; ConceptDraw Business Suite is an integrated business software package that includes ConceptDraw 7, ConceptDraw Project 4, mind mapping and personal productivity software ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5 to help users bring ideas to life.

DssW today launched Power Manager 3.7 with Leopard support. The application is designed to help schools as well as business reduce power consumption, and introduces a new wake action as well as broader time zone support. Further enhancements to Power Manager 3.7 include bug fixes as well as improvements to documentation, the status menu, and "Quick Schedule."

Bitcartel today updated its PandoraJam with support for Leopard, allowing users to stream music wirelessly to a sound system (with AirPort Express) and record music as high quality AAC files that are iPod compatible. PandoraJam is a native Cocoa application that offers Growl notifications, includes keyboard shortcuts, and tags recordings with album artwork.

Nolobe has released Interarchy 8.5.4, an update to its file transfer application that adds support for Mac OS X Leopard. The update is recommended for all Interarchy 8 users, according to Nolobe, and is available for free to those users. The software is a collection of tools to upload, download, edit, mirror, and manage websites efficiently.

Eternal Storms Software today released OpaqueMenuBar in a Leopard retail edition. The tool allows Mac users to remove the translucent effect of the menu bars in Apple's new operating system. The update re-enabled the opaque effect after some internal changes to Leopard rendered the utility unable to remove menu bar transparency.

Securethoughts has posted an article on securing Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, detailing the time-consuming process of dealing with hidden threats. The guide includes easy-to-follow steps to make a Mac running Leopard safer, increase privacy protection, and safeguard sensitive files.
