TestTrack 2008 updated

Seapine Software on Thursday released a major update to its workflow coordination software, TestTrack 2008. Designed specifically for larger software development teams, TestTrack allows developers and project managers to collaborate and increase workflow efficiency by providing a central message and project information center. Seapine offers three versions of the software -- TestTrack Pro, TCM, and Studio -- tailored for different requirements in the product development process. Seapine is shipping TestTrack 2008; however, pricing was not listed by the developer.

TestTrack offers automatic escalation rules and event-based triggers, which the developer says will increase efficiency by issuing emails, and automatically modify necessary data or run external applications.

Organization has been improved as well, presenting information in tabbed list views and nested folders that allow for a hierarchical layout of current projects.

Seapine has implemented new collaboration feature, including support for RSS feeds, URL access to records, and additional email support. The company also noted that members of a particular project can subscribe to RSS feed to keep up with any changes, as can their customers. In addition, enhanced email support keeps track of any discussions that were involved with the current assignment.
